Horseback Riding - Jessica

Hi everyone! Sorry it has taken so long to post! I've been sick with a bad cold and you know how that goes. Anyway I'll be talking today about one of my favorite hobbies…Horseback riding! I love working with and riding horses. I've ridden here and there when I was younger but a little over a year ago is when I started to consistently ride. I rode with Anna every week and It was really fun! We got to ride along many different trails, once we even got to cross a river! Trail riding is my favorite because of all the scenery, it's much better than riding in a dirt ring. Here are some pictures of me riding (some of them with Anna).

This was an arabian horse…my favorite to ride.

In this picture we were able to ride on some steep hills, our horses loved it! They would trot really fast up and down the hills.

If I came early I was able to walk, groom, and saddle the horses.

This was when I rode through a river (I got a little wet).

Some of the trails were very green, they reminded me of the countryside in Ireland, especially when it was raining.

This year I learned how to properly groom, saddle, and ride horse. I rode many types of horses and noticed that they are all very different. Some are feisty and rude while others can be gentle and lazy, my favorite type of horse to ride are the feistier ones. They are faster and make the ride more exciting (especially when your on the saddle for 2+ hours).

I hope you enjoyed my post! Make sure to subscribe to our blog through Instagram or Google+
