I Turned 16! - By Jessica

Hi everyone! Last week I turned 16! I always used to look up to 16 year olds. They were so old and mature to me and then I became one and quickly learned that age does not determine maturity. 😂😂 I ended up having a party. Well two in the same day I guess. The first part of the day was spent with some women who I have grown up with and who know my mom well. We had a more formal lunch and then moved to the living room where the mom's read letters of encouragement and  advice to me. I expected it to be extremely awkward and weird but as time went on I realized that it wasn't that bad. In fact I enjoyed hearing the letters.

 The second part of the party was in the evening, which I spent with my friends. We walked down to the beach and took some pictures during sunset. It was really pretty!

We lit marshmallows on fire like torches and tried to get it in the picture, too bad the fire didn't show up. :(

Once we finished taking pictures we had taco bar followed by a bonfire with s'mores! 😋 

We finished the night by watching la la land and talking till 3 in the morning (there may have been some prank calling). Keep in mind that we had church the following morning. 

The next day at church we were all pretty tired but it was totally worth it!
