My Life Lately - by Anna

Welcome, everyone, to TAJ! I'm sorry this post is late... I've been very busy over the past few days, as you'll see. Today I'm going to share a glimpse of my life recently with you all in the hope it will be interesting.

I read somewhere that posts like this are always liked, because people are naturally nosy (or curious, if you prefer that application) and enjoy hearing about other people's lives. I hope this might satisfy a bit of that curiosity you may have, as well as let you get to know me better. And it helps that this will be pretty easy to write for me - yippee! ;)

Life has been pretty busy. Just with school, my days are eaten up (hooray for high school!). It's not like the work itself is very hard (though sometimes it is), it just takes so much time. I'll think: Oh, I can get chemistry done in an hour, easy! And then before I know it, it's three hours later and I'm finally finishing up.

Needless to say, that's not encouraging, and then the rest of my school day goes down like a crashing airplane: quickly, and in flames. ;)

Now I feel like I'm making high school seem like some awful nightmare. It's not that bad, trust me. It's just mostly me. I think.

Anyway - moving on. Other than school, my life has included church, piano, basketball, and more recently - grandparents. Church is on Sundays (obviously) and I've been helping in the one year olds. We had a little power outage that effected the computers last week, so it was a bit crazy.

Speaking of crazy. Daylight savings time was awful this year. I'm still recovering. I seriously slept in until 8:00 this morning. That's unheard of. I'm usually up by 6:30 or 7:00. In my defense - I did wake up at 6:00 yesterday morning after staying up until 10:30.

(Side note: I woke up at 6:00 because I totally forgot to do some economics work and my economics class is at 7:00. Oh joy.)

Piano has been pretty normal. I'm playing fifteen minutes of intro music at our homeschool group's promotion night in early June, so I'm starting to work on getting pieces ready. I also got a fourth piano student, so I'm teaching for four hours a week, plus all the preparation that goes into that.

And speaking of music... I'm obsessing over the new Beauty and the Beast songs. I haven't seen it yet - my parents are still deciding if that would be okay because of the bad thing in it. (Purposely being vague there.) As in, I'm seriously listening to Gaston as I write this.

"First I carefully aim for the liver, then I shoot from behind!"
"Is that fair?"
"I don't care..."

So funny. I'm also obsessing over the Downton Abbey theme song right now. I love that show, but I'm only at the end of Season 2 (so no spoilers if you've seen more than that!). But it's SO GOOD.

And basketball! The boys are both playing with a homeschool group this year and I haven't gone to many games, but March Gladness (no, not March Madness - that's college) started yesterday, and we all went to watch opening ceremonies. I sat on a bleacher for nearly three hours. You don't understand the pain unless you've done it. XD

Finally... grandparents. We had my maternal grandparents over from last Saturday until yesterday, and then my Dad's mom came over yesterday from Arizona and she'll be leaving on Sunday. It's been really lazy, but I think that's kinda nice. Until you remember all the school you have to do.

Anyway! Hope y'all enjoyed that brief glimpse into my life. And again, I apologize about the late post. With grandparents, I keep on forgetting about stuff. (Case in point: economics.)

Now, go listen to Evermore (the one sung by Dan Stevens - not Josh Groban). *sobs uncontrollably.

I told you I was obsessing!

~Anna
