How to Make Chocolate-Dipped Pretzel sticks: By Jessica

Hi everyone! It's Christmas Eve! Yay! Today I will teaching you how to make chocolate dipped pretzel sticks. These are super easy and can be decorated many different ways. All you need is a bag or two of semi-sweet chocolate chips or white (whichever you prefer), a bag of thick pretzel sticks, an assortment of sprinkles, and a bag of colored chocolate (optional). Make sure to use good quality chocolate…it will taste better.

First melt the chocolate in a bowl in either the microwave or a double boiler. It should be smooth, silky, and shiny.

Then you spoon/dip the pretzel 3/4 of the way into the chocolate.

Set those on a sheet and allow to cool.

Now let's move on to the Decorations.

Heat the colored chocolate the same way you did the other chocolate until in has a smooth consistency.

(Sorry for the poor picture quality.)

Once the colored chocolate is melted scoop it into a piping bag and cut a very small tip at the end of it.

Now I will teach you how to pipe a snowflake to decorate your pretzels.

1. Pipe a straight line, about 3/4 inch but you can do many different sizes.

2. Pipe another line across the other.

3. Last but most important pipe two diagonal lines each smaller than the first two.

You should improve with practice, just try it a few times just for fun.

Allow the snowflakes to cool for 2-5 min. Once dried gently peel off the wax/parchment paper. They are very delicate.

With the same colored chocolate you can drizzle it over the dipped pretzels. You can also use sprinkles before the chocolate
dries.

Here are some examples of what the finished product looks like.

Finish it off by placing them in a cute package or gift bag and a ribbon. They make great gifts for friends, family, neighbors, and more. They taste amazing too!

I hope you enjoyed my post! Merry Christmas everyone!
