Kamp Resolve - By Serena

Hello again from TAJ Blog! Its Serena.

My post will be about summer camp!

I recently came back from "Kamp Resolve''. (P.S. This is the first time I've gone to camp)

I went with my youth group at church, at it was AMAZING! I can't express the how great the experience at camp was. I met new people, spent time in the Word, and played games. (The games were just a plus) My favorite part about camp, and what I was looking forward to, were the messages. They were so convicting! I felt so encouraged and moved by them!

This year's theme verse was Hebrews 12:1-2. "Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God." (I memorized the verse during camp too)

All the messages were about "running the race", and asked questions like 'What does it take to run this race?'. Some messages talked about being 'born again', the Holy Spirit, endurance through suffering, inreach and outreach, etc. And I am proud to say we have some new followers in Christ! :)

Over all the messages were incredible, and thank you to all the pastors who took their time to preach to us!

That's it for my post (I know, it's pretty short), sorry I don't have any photos! We weren't allowed to bring phones and my camera wasn't working.

Comment below on what you've done this summer so far! If you have any questions about my trip to camp comment below! Don't forget to check out our Instagram account @t_a_j_blog!
